Architectural Drafting in Arizona

Phoenix;

Arizona is the jewel of America's Old West. One of the most popular attractions in Arizona is the Hoover Dam. Hoover Dam is located in both Arizona and neighboring Nevada. Initially, the dam was designed as an unadorned wall of concrete topped with a powerhouse. Criticized as being too plain for a project of such importance, the façade was redesigned by Los Angeles-based architect Gordon B. Kaufmann. Kaufmann streamlined the buildings, and added elegant Art Deco touches to the dam, including sculptured turrets rising from the dam face and the clocks on the intake towers set for the time in Nevada and Arizona, in the Pacific Daylight Time Zone and Mountain Standard Time Zone time zones respectively.
