Architectural Drafting in Arkansas
In its early years, Arkansas helped Texas win its independence from Mexico and later was the home of former United States President William Jefferson Clinton. From its early inhabitants' simple log homes to the elaborate Victorian mansions of the nineteenth century to today's ever-evolving styles, the architecture in Arkansas represents the rich history of its people. Many Arkansas homes and buildings are constructed in the Southern Greek Revival and Federal styles, as well as Gothic Revival and Italianate. The Old State House Museum is the oldest surviving state capitol west of the Mississippi River and is a beautiful example of the Greek Revival style.
