Lincoln College of Technology

Founded in 1946 as Lincoln Technical Institute, Lincoln College of Technology assists students with short-term training programs in a specific career field. Lincoln College of Technology has grown to seven campus locations in the states of Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indianapolis, Maryland, and Texas.

Lincoln currently offers programs in automotive, collision repair, diesel, high performance, medical assisting, medical administration, dental, health information technology, criminal justice, networking, business management, HVAC, electronic systems technician, drafting, massage therapy, cosmetology, and culinary arts.

The drafting program at Lincoln College of Technology specializes in teaching the specific skills needed to become a successful entry-level draftsperson. The courses are taught by certified teachers who have industry knowledge and experience. The program is hands-on and gives students the chance to use industry software, hardware, and equipment. Much of the time students will be compiling completed projects for a portfolio that they will be able to share with potential employers.

All Lincoln College of Technology students also receive comprehensive career planning and job placement skills. Every campus has dedicated career service and admissions representatives that are there to assist students in reaching their career and educational goals. Career services staff members assist students by helping them prepare a unique resume, how to dress appropriately, and how to interview for a specific job. Staff members will also assist students with setting up hands-on learning opportunities such as job shadowing, internships, externships, and volunteer work. Lincoln College of Technology also keeps close relationships with the area employers and can facilitate job interviews and networking opportunities.

Admissions representatives are there to tailor each student's education to their unique needs. They help students choose the best classes for them so that their career goals and educational goals mesh together. All of these services are offered to every Lincoln College of Technology student free of charge.
