Penn Foster Career School

Penn Foster Career School provides over 80 distance learning programs that are geared to preparing students for a fast paced career in some of the industry's leading fields. Penn Foster offers diploma based studies in drafting, architectural design, and AutoCAD. The curriculum is self-paced and provides an at home work environment for students to complete their studies. The Engineering category at Penn Foster includes a career diploma in Drafting with AutoCAD and a certificate in AutoCAD Essentials.

In both AutoCAD programs, students learn from a hands-on approach and training curriculum. Students are taught to use basic CAD equipment, software, and CAD programs. Students become experts in the use of drafting equipment, reproduction methods, and media. Geometric construction and tolerancing is also emphasized. All drafting and software materials are provided by the school. Prerequisites for each AutoCAD program include a strong emphasis and background in a Windows based computer PC environment.
