The admissions process to the online division of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh requires three steps. First, information may be requested and obtained online or via telephone to speak with an admissions representative. Secondly, an Assistant Director of Admissions reviews the admissions process with the potential student and an online application must be submitted. Thirdly, a financial planner works with the qualifying student to ensure all payment arrangements and financial options are presented.

Students pursuing an online education through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh also have access to an online library, in-classroom technical support, career services, virtual student community, textbooks and supplies, and tutoring in English, writing, and mathematics. Classes are small and students have access to one-on-one interaction with their instructor as well as other students.
